❤️ February 14 | Wood Lovers Event at CS Woods (10–1 PM)

This Valentine’s Day, skip the ordinary and fall in love with wood. Join us at CS Woods on Friday, February 14 from 10:00–1:00 for a relaxed, wood-filled morning designed for makers, designers, wood lovers, and the wood-curious alike. We’ll have hot cocoa, coffee, and light snacks on hand while you take a winter walk through the woods and explore our warehouse.

Kent will be sharing tips, tricks, and hard-earned insights on working with slabs—from selecting the right piece to avoiding common pitfalls—so bring your questions and get ready to pick his brain. This event also marks the kickoff of our “Clear the Floor” Sale, making room for a semi-load of stunning, newly kiln-dried black walnut arriving soon. It’s the perfect opportunity to snag exceptional slabs, find inspiration, and claim something special before the next wave comes in.

Whether you’re starting a new project, refining an existing one, or simply looking for a unique way to begin your Valentine’s Day, we’d love to have you. Come for the wood, stay for the conversation, and celebrate the craft with us.

We've got the family in town for the holiday, so we decided to be open and welcome in your family for coffee, donuts, walks in the woods and sales! Bring the kids, out of town guests, or just escape for an hour to cruise the stacks and dream up a new project. We will be giving tours, regaling people with wood collection stories, and keeping the coffee and hot cider fresh from 10am to 4pm. We will be offering special customer appreciation sales all day on Friday!

DRUMMING IN THE WOODS! Sunday, April 3rd from 1pm to 3pm at the CS Woods Denver Warehouse A Celebration of Community drumming Offered by master drummer Gayan Gregory Long   Details: Class cost is $25 per person Call 303-355-0302 to reserve your spot Please bring your own hand drum If your ears are sensitive, you may want to bring earplugs just to be safe You really CAN drum! There is a saying attributed to many African countries that includes the phrase “If you have hands, you can drum.” My experience tells me that not only is this true but that if your heart is beating that you ARE drumming. Additionally, the wisdom of this phrase implies that drumming is an all-inclusive activity best shared in the community. Join us for a two hour drumming experience where we will venture through the delightful world of Brazilian Samba drumming. We will learn just enough basic technique then dive into learning simple samba drum parts that will interweave to create a magical community drumming celebration. No experience necessary and all skill levels welcome. Bring a djembe, conga, ashiko or other chalice-shaped drum, and your enthusiasm. Gayan Gregory Long is an internationally acclaimed drummer and composer. Gayan has performed and taught worldwide, from India to Russia, Thailand to South America, and throughout the United States. His teaching style is inclusive, affirming, and fun. Gayan’s thousands of students worldwide range in skill and experience from happy beginning recreational drummers to top flight performing and recording artists. He has appeared on fifty-five recording projects and has two CDs: Padma Thunder and When Two or More are Gathered.
