Bubinga is a gorgeous, durable reddish brown hardwood that grows in equatorial Africa. It has a fine, tight interlocked grain with medium luster and beautiful blond sapwood that complements and highlights the heartwood tones and is clearly demarcated. When milled and finished properly it also has a high level of chatoyance. CS Woods buys highly figured bubinga slabs. We currently have pommele, flamed, waterfall, and quilted figured slabs in stock. CSWoods purchased sustainably harvested Bubinga from the Central African Republic in 2018 and was onsite when it was carefully milled into huge live edge slabs in Germany. The slabs were precisely kiln dried to CS Woods Rocky Mountain Kiln Dry specifications and then shipped directly from Germany to us in Denver. We also purchased an old collection of bubinga slabs at the beginning of our business and have some of these museum quality slabs avaible for purchase or project. All our slabs are kiln dry and ready to be used. Leveling is available at $160 an hour. Bubinga is durable, strong and easy to work with and makes great surfaces of all kinds. We have used it in a number of applications. We have live edge slabs for sale or can create a custom surface for clients to their specifications. See this collection to view some of the slabs we have available: We have many more slab options in our warehouse and we be happy to send you photos or give you a tour of them in our warehouse.
