Classic hackberry with grays and light browns and incredible chatoyance! These 10.5' long slabs are Rocky Mountain kiln dry. Hackberry is similar to ash and elm in workability; the grain pattern is interlocked, and the figure reminds us of sycamore's quarter-cut flecking. The sapwood is more gray and darker than the heartwood. These boards appear to glow!
