Bubinga
Bubinga is a gorgeous, durable reddish brown hardwood that grows in equatorial Africa. It has a fine, tight interlocked grain with medium luster and beautiful blond sapwood that complements and highlights the heartwood tones.
CSWoods purchased sustainably harvested Bubinga from the Central African Republic in 2018 and was onsite when it was carefully milled into huge live edge slabs in Germany. They were precisely kiln dried to CS Woods Rocky Mountain Kiln Dry specifications and then the slabs were shipped directly from Germany to us in Denver.
The slabs have very straight live edges, clean and clear surfaces, consistent width and some light figuring. There is end checking and some slight banding edge damage. There are wide full width table top sized slabs as well as one live edge full length bar top sizes. The slabs are kiln dry and ready to be used. Leveling is available at $192 an hour.
