Bookmatched Slabs

Bookmatched wood slabs are made by joining two slabs together and lining up their surfaces so that the grain of the wood reflects along a middle line. Usually, these pieces are cut from the same piece of wood. What makes the bookmatch effect more valuable is the variance from each half to the other, and the better the bookmatch, the more impressive it looks.
