Claro Walnut Boule #10164 - #10172

This highly figured Claro walnut boule is Rocky Mountain kiln dry. It is 170" (+/-) long and widths range from 31" to 48".  Most slabs are 2.5" thick. Claro walnut's colors are dominated by deep rich chocolate browns mixed with honey and red tones highlighted and complemented by cream colored sapwood. These slabs have branch feathering, figure dimples, checkerboard ripple, and some have some burling along the edges. There is some end checking and the live edge is interrupted on one side by a limb trim. There are full width table top sized slabs as well as book matches available. These are rough slabs. Leveling is available at $160 an hour.
