People often ask us what makes CS Woods different. Yes, we have one of the largest collections of live edge wood slabs in the region. Yes, we carry extraordinary species from around the world.
But what we're really preserving are stories.
Every slab in our warehouse began as a living tree. Some shaded family homes for generations. Some stood in historic orchards. Some grew for over a century before eventually finding new life as dining tables, conference tables, kitchen islands, shelving, mantels, or architectural features. Every growth ring represents another year in the life of that tree. Every figure, burl, knot, and grain pattern tells the story of seasons, storms, sunshine, and time. No artist could ever duplicate what nature creates.
That is why we often describe our slabs as nature's artwork.

One of the things we love most about our work is giving extraordinary trees a second life. Rather than allowing remarkable trees to disappear forever, we're able to preserve them through thoughtful milling, careful drying, and skilled craftsmanship. A tree that once stood proudly in someone's yard may one day become the table where another family gathers for Thanksgiving dinner. A magnificent walnut may become the conference table where a new company is born. A live edge slab may become the barn door that welcomes guests into a home for decades to come.
