This particular shipment of reclaimed teak timbers were selectively harvested by both hand and elephant to be used in the construction of a temporary stadium. At the completion of the resulting conference the stadium was dismantled and transported by truck, elephant and later by raft for the river crossing into Laos. These timbers were purchased directly from the ethnic minority people who live and labor within the forests of South East Asia.
